Here we go again, another museum, fearing public reaction, self-censers it’s collection.
Harlingen, TX, it seems, has no problems with an exhibit of ‘border art’ by Rigoberto Gonzalez depicting beheadings and other violence related to the drug trade, but draws the line at school children seeing the nudity which is part of the work.

“Henry Yuen paints naturist resorts, clothes optional beaches, and hot springs in watercolor and silkscreened prints.”
We ran across this artist at the Naturist & Nudist Ring Network website. He depicts the nudist lifestyle in a casual, unexploitive manner which minimalizes the idea that these people are nude, but rather that they are just [...]

I recently purchased of a piece of art. The piece is called ‘OVA’ and if you’ve read Steve’s blogs you’ll know the story.
In short, Steve came upon an artist’s website and had e-mailed the artist for permission to use an image of one of her paintings. I usually (not always) edit his blogs [...]

Steve ran into a website that showed nude sky divers. I have never felt the need to jump out of a plane in my life but they sure made it look like fun.
I mentioned to Steve that should I ever decide to jump out of a perfectly good airplane I would have to do it [...]

Be careful of what you let your women see. I discovered a website by a talented artist, Jennie Rosenbaum, who also has much to say about women’s issues and our lifestyle, and asked Angie to check it out and see if we should include a mention of it on our site.
Next thing you know, she’s [...]

Jennie Rosenbaum has a strong hand with shadows and situations. Her nudes are very emotional, often sensual, and very human. Her site is certainly worth a visit.
Expect social commentary along with her artistic offerings, plus some great links to other artists.
We are awaiting permission to use her images so we’re hoping this [...]

Sorry, gotta share this. Apparently, wild turkeys on the west side of Madison have gotten so aggressive that mail carriers cannot deliver mail, for fear of attack!
We’re talking about in real neighborhoods, not country. Geez, most urban areas have problems with coyotes, we’ve got turkeys! I love this town. Gobble gobble!

Someone commented about tattoos, and their permanence. Very true. They don’t go away. Now, if you’re 20 years old, that’s something to think about. If you’re 50, who gives a damn? One of the benefits of age is reaching that point where you can say ‘F**k you if you don’t like it! If you want [...]
