Let me count the ways…
A lot of little stuff. There was never as much laughter in this house before she came. She is free with her happiness about everything from a silly movie to a dumb thing a cat (or me) does. She laughs when I fart and laughs more when I say ‘scuse me’. She stubs her toe and cries out then laughs about it.
I hear her talking with kids or sisters on the phone and she laughs, genuinely, a lot.
She’s the happy person I’ve waited for all my life. She makes me happy.
She mothers me when I stub my toe and brings a basin of warm water when my feet hurt. She endures my cooking when it’s not so great and doesn’t appreciate criticism when hers is not so great. She insists on doing laundry and dishes (ok with me!) and is a pretty good housekeeper but not crazy about it. Comfortable.
She doesn’t yell at me if I splatter the mirror while shaving. She doesn’t n
ag if I don’t shave.
She loves my dog.
She doesn’t make the bed much but doesn’t care if I don’t. She likes to be naked. No, let me amend that, she’s always naked. Total convert. Works for me!
She loves her kids to pieces, and my kids too. They’ve become the same to her.
She’s brought me into her family and now I have two new sons and grandsons. And we like each other!
Angie absolutely loves tornado programs on TV. Hates the destruction but yells and squeals when a good one shows up. Delighted like a child. It’s not really my thing but, the excitement is contagious. She lives! Her excitement is a wonder to behold.
I sometimes feel like an old man with a 20 year old bride.
Have you ha
d children? Do you remember how they can find such wonderment and joy in simple things? An ant on the sidewalk, the smell of grass? Things we’ve forgotten about? How they make you feel young again?
Angie’s like that for me. She awakes things that were lost during a long dark part of my life, she’s teaching me to live again. Thank you, my love.
Oh, so yeah. I love my wife, I think I’ll keep her! - Steve
Ed: OK, after 2 hours of ‘Tornado Chasers’ with another hour just beginning, I may need to reconsider that last statement…

This is why I love reading your Blog, Steve. You guys are so real, so delightful I just can’t help but smile. And laugh.
Stay real, stay nude, and I’ll keep reading.
Thank you Cecil, we really do feel that we have a huge family spread around the world. We didn’t expect this when we started this thing but it seems to have taken on a life of it’s own.
I mean. c’mon. A couple of nudist hicks from Wisconsin just chatting about stuff and now we’ve got a couple thousand people a day stopping by to see what’s goin’ on.
It’s kinda overwhelming.
And it’s always special when someone like you makes the effort to drop a line. Thanks for letting us know that we’re doing something that makes at least a small impact on your life. That makes us a part of your life, and you, a part of ours.
Isn’t the internet something? Folks from all around the world becoming friends and sharing ideas, thoughts, concerns. Wow. Kinda scary, huh? Cool.
Anyway, thanks again. Don’t be a stranger, drop in with your thoughts and comments. And please, have a very good New Year!
