Here in Central Florida, it’s often warm and sunny most of the winter. New Years Day was warm, sunny, and 80, so I spent a couple hours in the back yard, soaking it in.
As I write this, it’s 34F/+1C outside and won’t warm up much today today

We’re thinking about selling one of our grandchildren to finance a trip to Haulover but the weather there doesn’t look promising. To male matters worse, the Weather Channel refuses to give us a rock-solid guarantee of 80 degree weather, no rain, while we’re there!

No one in their right mind would be naked, outside, in the snow, unless your an exhibitionist. It’s not practical, and it’s not what nudism is about.

Not surfing for “naked gurlz” or looking for porn. I’m here via your Tweet because I am a nudist and was intrigued by the title. Being nude in those conditions has always raised a red flag for me. What rational reasons are there to be out in freezing weather, sans clothes, other than to show off?

If you are, as you say, actually a nudist then why would you ask why someone would like to be nude? Do you think nudists get naked to ‘show off’? There’s really no answer to your question because it makes absolutely no sense. A Textile might say that sunburn, cancer and bug bites would preclude being nude for any reason other than exhibitionism, might they not? What would your answer be to that?
I guess the answer is that if you have to ask the question, then you have no idea of what nudism/naturism is all about. That’s fair enough, that’s what this website is for; to teach. If you came here just to call decent folks names through your own ignorance, then don’t expect to find a very warm reception here. I don’t know where you got your ideas about nudism but it appears that it may have been from someplace pretty strange (internet?). We can correct that but first you’ll need to stop categorizing other people using your own flawed understanding of the situation.
Nudists are simply ordinary people who happen to prefer being nude, that’s all. If some enjoy it outdoors in the sun, that’s fine. Some are more into indoor social nudism and that’s fine too. Some nudist only go to resorts. Some like to swim, some like to hike, some like to play in the snow. There is absolutely no difference between them other than personal preference and, perhaps, different levels of daring.
Exhibitionism is a term that applies to those who derive sexual gratification from exposing themselves to those who do not wish to see them. There is no way to connect that mentality with nudists, we just don’t work that way.
Take a look around this site and find out what it’s about, then decide what you think of it. Tolerance is a virtue in the naturist world, and you will not make many friends in the nudist community if the first thing you say is an accusation of immorality based on your own narrow perceptions.

I ask because sometimes you have to question a person’s intentions. Do nudist resorts and such not put potential members and first-timers through a screening process? A naked person out in cold weather just to be naked needs questioning for obvious reasons. Maybe exhibitionist is too strong of a word, but I’m still going to question it.
It’s good to question, but please do it from a position of knowledge. I’m sorry, you may mean well but your ideas clearly demonstrate that you know nothing about nudists or nudism. Please educate yourself before attempting to instruct us as to the proper way to live our chosen lifestyle.
Up to this point I have gone on the assumption that you may seriously believe what you say and are just a bit confused; not trolling. I consider this discussion to have run its course, with little to be gained by further repition of the obvious. Thanks for commenting, I hope that something has been accomplished, but I kind of doubt that.
I know enough about nudism to know that being naked in unfavorable conditions just isn’t the norm. And at no time did I instruct anyone on how they should live their lifestyle.

Believe what you wish, your ignorance is manifest and your persistence at promoting your own personal bigotry is appalling. Your inability to distinguish harmless fun from deviant behavior is truly frightening and in all the years of producing this site and others you are by far the most pathetic individual we have encountered. Please don’t bother us anymore.

Some people like to be nude whenever they can. Like me I have gone cross country skiing when it was down to the 20 degrees. It was exhilarating. Since then I have moved and no longer have that opportunity
We’ve never been that adventurous, but it sounds great! It’s hard to believe how warm body metabolism can keep you if you’ve never given it a try. Remember, our ancestors must have gone for millenia before somebody figured out how to make clothes. Somehow, they managed!
