My friends, I’ve been hoping to avoid this but it seems I can’t anymore.

We keep learning new things about my health (or lack thereof) and none of it it’s good.  My remaining  months (possibly years?) have dropped to weeks (possibly months?) or any minute now.  Deep into end-stage liver disease, diabetes is back, remaining kidney only partly working, immune system shot, and an intestine read to blow again, plus I don’t feel so well either.

At this point I have a hard time whooping up a lot of interest in our lifestyle, or the world in general for that matter.  Just a bit self-absorbed.

So as of now, All Nudist will no longer be updated regularly.  Any comments that are made may sit for a long time or forever before posting, or maybe I’ll stiffen up the spam filter and let them all through.  That could make for some ugly stuff for you to wade through.  Remember the filter though, it’ll have to be pretty strict to be useful at all.  No ‘sex’, ‘porn’, body parts, etc.  Pretend you’re writing to your local newspaper.

Links will grow old and broken, the world will pass us by but there’s stil plenty of basic good stuff on these pages, especially for newcomers.  Feel free to quote  articles for your own site (please give credit and link), the idea has always been to get the info out there where it belongs.

I may drop in now and then while I’m still around, I doubt if Angie will pick up the reigns, though I wish she would.  She’s a terrific writer.Just us

She’s going to be going through hell, losing me, so please continue to give her support.  It has meant so much to her so far.

If you’re wondering what my feelings are about this whole death thing, I’m not worried.  Like they say, it’s not being dead that bothers me, it’s the dying part.  And I think we’re pretty comfortable about that.

Thanks again to all of you for visiting, for giving us this exciting forum to play with.  I hope we’ve helped send a few folks in the right direction and entertained a few others.

Bye-bye, so long, farewell!  You’ll have one less middle aged fat guy out there blocking your sun so, GET NAKED!   BE HAPPY!    – Steve

PS:  Angie says she will continue to moderate ‘comments’ for the forseeable future and may decide to jump in all the way someday.  It’s ‘way too soon to tell.

Update:  1-29-11   No one is more suprised to see me here than me.  In brief, after this posting I got a hell of a lot worse, lingered through the winter very ill, and got a smidgen better in the spring.  Enough, the Docs said, to not be considered terminal anymore, just messed up!  That’s been almost a year now and I’m feeling a lot better, though somewhat incomplete.  No bother!  Life is good, Angie is wonderful, grandkids are adorable, and I’ve almost made it through TWO godawful winters!  Oh, and Skippy, Nature Dog, is still with us; 14 now and feeling his age.  Ain’t we all…  😉

4-19-12 – Still kickin’!

6-20-17 Sure called THAT one wrong! Must be the healthy nudist lifestyle! But itooks like it may finally be the last roundup. Here’s our latest and last posting on All-Nudist, I expect. I actually got ragged at by a guy who was mad that I didn’t die as promised before!

Thank you all again; you’ve been a loyal and INTERESTED audience! share the wealth, share our lifestyle! Goodbye My Friends…

  1. Steve,
I’m truly sorry to hear that things aren’t looknig so good for you. I certainly can’t blame you for your lack of enthusiasm for a lot of things. You’ve got more important stuff on your mind right now.

Take it easy and enjoy the time you have.

  2. Steve and Angie,

You are both in my thoughts as you navigate through this difficult time.

  3. Steve

I am so very sorry to hear this news. I have enjoyed your blog for some time now and I will miss it. It was always comforting to know that there was someone else out there who shared my somewhat jaundiced view of the world.

Things may not look so good right now, but I don’t think you will be dying any time soon. There is a way of thinking in many ‘primitive’ cultures that while someone may not be physically with us they are not dead until no one remembers them. By this way of thinking Plato, Abraham Lincoln and Lee Baxandall are all very much alive. Steve you may not be with us, but you will not be dead for a very long time.

    Peace be with you.

  4. Our prayers and thoughts are with you at this time.

  5. There is a time for everything and you are the one to know. You will be missed far more than you can imagine.

  6. For the most part we humans live with the false impression of security and a feeling of being at home in a seemingly familiar and trustworthy physical and human environment. But when the expected course of everyday life is interrupted, we realize that we are like shipwrecked people trying to keep their balance on a miserable plank in the open sea, having forgotten where they came from and not knowing whither they are drifting. But once we fully accept this, life becomes easier and there is no longer any disappointment.
(Albert Einstein in a letter, 1945)

  7. My heart dropped when I read this post. I don’t comment much but know that I my thoughts are with you and Angie as well as your family.

  8. Both of you are in my thoughts and prayers. Rich

  9. Steve, I haven’t been by to visit in a while so reading of what you and Angie are facing comes as a shock and makes my heart weep.

God bless, my friend, may you have sunny skies and clear sailing to wherever it is we all go someday, sometime.

Angie…I’ve been through what you are facing and I will be here if you need a kind word.

  10. good luck my friend

  11. There is a time for everything and you are the one to know. You will be missed far more than you can imagine.;. All the best!!

  12. I’ve been reading your blog for a while, but I’ve never felt brave enough to post. Well, now or never, right?

I don’t yet know what my final verdict on the matter of living nude will be, but you’ve always presented intelligent, compelling arguments, and in any case, for you two to live your lives the way you feel is right and good is commendable. I wish you luck in the next great adventure.

  13. Hi all! Still alive, pain’s under control (better living through chemistry!) and, rhough balanced on a razor’s edge, internals are functioning enough to keep me tickin’.

Tail end of the summer here, beautiful day but Winter is waiting in the wings for us Northerners, Spring for all you folks who live on the upside-down part of the world. Lucky you.

I was expecting to be dead by now. Just my luck; I’ll probably survive one last miserable god-forsaken Winter just to drop dead when the first Robin sings!

  14. Hey Steve! Good to hear from you! Tell you what, I’m gonna box up some of our Southern California winter and ship that off to you.

    How’s that sound?

Admin: Excellent idea! Thanks for the warm thoughts! -Steve

  15. Steve,

So glad to see you back on the keyboard a bit. Reading your post brought tears of joy to my eyes. It’s so wonderful to hear your voice and insightful perspective. Thanks for checking in and updating us all.

Here’s hoping the best for you. I trust you will “take it easy, but take it” one day at a time. Remember that even our “miserable god-forsaken” winter days are filled with magical precious moments to experience and savor.

Give Angie a hug for us, and feel free to call for ANY reason at ANY time.

    Claude & Jim

  16. If I haven’t said it enough, thank you all again for your support and thoughts. It meant a lot to me.

Still here and kickin’, not complaining! Well, complaining, yeah. Sometimes!

  17. I haven’t the words to express what I feel at this moment. I got the email saying there was an update. Reluctantly and with trepidation, I pulled up this page. That’s all been replaced with joy. Happy, hop up and down, gettin’ shivers kinda joy.

Nothin’s bad about today, you just made it for me.

    Admin: Thanks Cecil! – Steve

Courteous behavior is expected; please stay on-topic. Thanks!
